Description
Paul Reed Smith, founder of PRS Guitars, is presenting a night of great guitar work featuring Electric Mary and Toehider. Described by Classic Rock Magazine as sounding like “Guns ‘n’ Roses meets Free, add Aerosmith’s pizzazz and a pinch of Tom Morello’s staccato chops, all fronted by any iron-lunged singer from rock’s golden age, and you’re getting warm”, Electric Mary’s 2008 release ‘Down To The Bone’ was dubbed “rock album of the year” by the Sunday Mercury. Releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2008, Toehider’s singler and songwriter Michael Mills bypassed the “difficult second album syndrome” by instead releasing 12 albums in 12 months, which saw the band explore a vast array of musical styles and genres. With the project completing in April 2010, Toehider released their follow up project, ‘To Hide Her’, 18 months later. Hear Paul speak briefly before he introduces two of Melbourne’s finest rock acts.
