Family and friends gather to celebrate the life and work of the beloved Canadian singer-songwriter.
Following all-star salutes in London and New York, Luminato brings together singer-songwriter legend Kate McGarrigle’s family and friends to celebrate her inspiring life and work. Kate’s sisters, Anna and Jane, her children, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, and her niece and nephew, Lily and Sylvan Lanken, and Anna’s husband, Dane Lanken, will be joined by Emmylou Harris, Bruce Cockburn, Peggy Seeger, and more than a dozen others. The Band: Brad Albetta (bass), Thomas Bartlett (piano), Calum MacColl (guitar), Jane McGarrigle (piano), Michelle Josef (drums), Chaim Tannenbaum (banjo, mandolin), Joel Zifkin (violin), Michel Pepin (guitar).
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kate McGarrigle Fund, created to further sarcoma research. Gala tickets will be available for $250 and include a reception and priority seating.
