ABOUT THE SHOW:
Originally from New Zealand The Naked and Famous’ electro-pop tunes have circumnavigated the globe, winning over US blogs with impressive performances at Austin's SXSW and New York's CMJ festivals.

Being compared to the likes of MGMT and Empire of the Sun, The Naked and Famous have managed to achieve a strong backing from their homeland, winning the country’s Silver Scroll award for the success of the release of their Debut single Young Blood, which became the first debut single to reach number 1 in New Zealand for 16 years.

With the EP “Passive Me, Aggressive You” in September 2010 and the single “Young Blood” the band have managed to capture the interest of Radio one DJ’s, tipping the quintet for the top in 2011. It’s this championing of the group that has seen them being highlighted by the BBC Sound of 2011 list as one of only 15 bands to look out for in the coming year.

Seeing them perform at the ARU, Anglia Ruskin University – Cambridge on February 24th 2011 is a must. This year is their year. Catch them early on.
