Description

Low End Theory finally touches down in San Francisco!

Known around the world for supporting visionary artists, promoting breakthrough sounds and nourishing a vibrant artistic community, Los Angeles' Low End Theory is bringing its legendary night of left-field music to the Bay Area.

Blending futuristic hip hop with experimental electronic sounds, Low End Theory is the hub of the Los Angeles beat community and a place where creative minds congregate. Known for hosting an eclectic palette of performers and drawing a diverse crowd of music lovers and beat freaks, Low End Theory has been called "one of L.A.'s biggest and most influential music parties" (SF Weekly) with a "reputation as one of the most forward-thinking nights of electronic music anywhere" (XLR8R).

The avant-garde musical showcase debuts in San Francisco on Friday, January 21 at the venue 103 Harriet and will feature all of the club nights' resident DJs and producers, who are in high demand and back from international tours for this special event. Guests of the show will experience bass-riddled sonic sorcery from wild-eyed manimal The Gaslamp Killer, psychotically skilled turntablist D-Styles, groove maker DJ Nobody, lyrical samurai MC Nocando as well as the mad drops of Daddy Kev, who runs Low End Theory as well as the LA-based independent label Alpha Pup Records.

Joining the all-star team of residents are some of Low End Theory's favorite guests and veteran performers: Monome pioneer Daedelus brings a crushing live set and eccentric style to the party, while indie rock ingénue Baths plays dirty beat music with a clean pop lean that is all his own. Local supporting acts Dials, Mophono, and Tully will round out the stellar line-up.

This new era of beat music in the Bay Area will continue throughout 2011, as Low End Theory SF to take place the first Friday of every month beginning in March. Advance tickets are available now at the 1015.com website.
