White Hills

Whoop, it's launch party fever as New Heavy Sounds launches the first release on NHS Recordings - the fantastical New Heavy Sounds Volume 1 Compilation Album.

And what better way to do it than this, with New York's WHITE HILLS, with road blocking support from one of the leading lights on said album - London's XM-3a.

Thrusting space rock into the 21st century and beyond, White Hills have not so much carved as blasted out their own ...niche of kraut-driven heaviness and soaring guitar acrobatics of the highest order. Oooh yeah ... "Supernova psychedelia of the highest order, White Hills offers a tidal-wave wash of fuzz-fried riffs and mesmeric mountain-size rock action, ready to trade fireballs with Comets on Fire, Loop, Hawkwind, Monster Magnet and some of Krautrock's more waywardly incendiary outfits." Formed by Dave W. on guitar and Ego Sensation on bass, White Hills are an ever changing entity and always striving to push the envelope. They released a critically acclaimed, self-titled album earlier this year as well as the EP "Stolen Stars For No One", which was released in September. And they join us fresh from ATP's In-between Days shindig.

And upping the riff quota to, u-huh, 11, there's XM-3a "who produce a sound that feels like the audience is witnessing a re-enactment of the moment 60s garage rock invented heavy metal." (AAA Music) Whoah, man, how good's that gonna sound?
