Peaking Lights
Indra Dunis and Aaron Coynes founded Peaking Lights after the split of Dunis’ band Numbers. Peaking Lights are a splendid DIY project that incorporates different styles such as ’70 sci-fi, kraut rock, dub, noise and smooth pop music. Fresh vibes by one of the nicest exponents of a new tradition of American bands that object to the hype machine.
Cotopaxi
Cotopaxi is Johann (aka Fyoelk) and Hannah (aka Moemlien). These two in Amsterdam living Germans have been making the Amsterdam scene thrive again by organizing concerts, art-shows and making books, prints and releasing tapes and cdrs on the Stenze Quo label. Both schooled at a young age to be free with sound they manage to create interesting compositions almost out of thin air, with great sensitivity for dynamics and balance. Their approach is warm and positive resulting in a ‘good times’ feel that will leave a smile in the hearts of the listener.

Lumisokea
Lumisokea plays improvised electronic music: not your usual “I- prepared-30-loops-and-I’m-playing-them-in-random order” kind of electronic live performance, but two people building the music from scratch, in real-time. Reflecting its name (“Lumisokea” means “snowblind” in Finnish), a sense of dark introspection pervades the music, which ranges from minimalist soundsculptures to beat/drone-based, high-intensity walls of sound.
Koen Raad Ecker – laptop and Andrea Taeggi - roland d-50

City Hands
The Hague’s own City Hands is Mr. Manuel Padding from Helbaard & Silver Ghosts fame, improvising with electronics, hooked-up objects and small percussion. Meditative sonars echo through time where they collide in frantic rhythms that provide a peacefully uplifting soundtrack to a downhill ride through the cold and desolate night.
