Description

Library Tapes (www.myspace.com/librarytapes)

Library Tapes’ music sits somewhere between classical, ambient and experimental, but is always beautiful, subtle and affecting. Primarily the project of Eskilstuna resident David Wenngren, Library Tapes has also included contributions from luminaries such as Peter Broderick, Sylvain Chauveau and Danny Norbury. Whilst early recordings were based largely on piano and field recordings, 2008’s “A Summer Beneath the Trees”, their second long player for Make Mine Music, saw a move away from the minimal sound of previous releases, with rich layers of strings and a range of other instruments taking a more prominent role.

WILD DOGS IN WINTER
'Sleepy languid thoughtful beauty. Every sound considered, every brush stroke, every pen mark, every delicate glitch and string plucked... everything. Simple art, simple music, beautifully clever.' Organ Magazine
