Sandwiches is Wellington’s premier entertainment venue with an up market restaurant and lounge bar offering premium beverage service, tasty cuisine, intimate live jazz and an eclectic mix of DJs.

It profiles local, national and international artists, as well as offering a private function venue outside of the club trading. Sandwiches is the jewel in Wellington’s bustling entertainment and hospitality crown, and specialises in hosting any and all kinds of events and special occasions.

With one of the latest liquor licences in the city, Sandwiches trades as an entertainment and hospitality “destination” Tuesday through Saturday, 3pm till as late as 7am the following day.

Renowned for it’s premium food, beverage and service (Winner of the “Best Service” Award in the 8th annual Monteith’s Wild Food Challenge 2005) served with an architectural award winning interior hosting world-class entertainment.

The Sandwiches brand was founded by Bryce Mason, Wade Lipsham, Ryan Salt and Stewart Dun in November 2000.

After a string of successful events under the Sandwiches brand, Bryce and Wade joined forces with former Paradiso Bar General Manager Jonnie Halstead. These three principals engaged the considerable design talents of Michael and Daniel Melville of John Mills Architects, and set out to create a first-class venue which would act as a permanent staging point for the future of the brand.
