Handsome and charming - we must be related then! Enjoy the suggestions - I'll let you get back to work now.

To my knowledge, dad never travelled to the UK, but I wouldn't put it past him if he had. Dad was very handsome and charming. I've expected siblings to pop up from anywhere, all my life. And thanks for the new music suggestions! When I get to my home computer I will give them a listen. Cheers!

You should check out "When I Was Cruel". It has a lot of classic Elvis the C tracks on it. I'm not saying it is the perfect album that "This Year's Model" is, but it's mostly good.

    I know what you mean - I don't mind jazz but I want Costello circa 1976 - 1990 please!

I hate his jazz stuff. I cried when he married Krall.

This Years Model is proper old school EC. I neglected the early stuff (except My Aim Is True) for a few years so it is good to hear the old stuff again. I never thought of Lipstick Vogue like that but you are right - it always sounds fresh and the speed takes your breath away. Happy thoughts! My fave of the older stuff is 'Get Happy' - most tracks are less than 3 minutes long and there are just so many of them. My fave EC albums are Blood & Chocolate and King of America. Most to the stuff from 2000 onwards is a bit self indulgent for me - that said there are glimpses of the old Elvis in among them - you just have to look a bit harder to find them

Lipstick Vogue. Every time I hear it is like the first time. It makes my heart race with glee. "This Year's Model" is my favourite album, ever.
