Must check out the new Madlib. I've preferred his collaboration work to his solo stuff, but yeah, his jazz orientated stuff is very good. Heltah Skeltah album is nice. Can't say I picked up on the beat selection being weak but I'm a bit of a Sean Price fanboy so I was really paying more attention to the lyrics than the production. I'll stick it on the ipod and give it another listen through, I always find it easier to analyse albums when I'm listening to them on an mp3 player less distractions.
