Only Didier Malherbe and Pierre Moerlen remained for this album from the classic Trilogy line-up, although former Magma bassist, Francis Moze rejoins after playing on 'Flying Teapot'. The album is notable for the guitar playing of Allan Holdsworth as well as cementing the band's style in jazz fusion. This is the first Gong album not to feature vocals.
