Originally from Spokane, WA, Whitney Mongé moved to the Seattle area in 2008 to pursue her career in music. Mongé is a familiar face among the busking regulars at Pike Place Market, which has since led to several opportunities such as an in-studio on The Bob Rivers show and a Hard Rock Cafe residency. Mongé's raspy, sultry vocals are highly reminiscent of Melissa Etheridge and Tracy Chapman. Her debut LP, Heartbeat, snowballed into such a success that seven months later she recorded her EP Steadfast. Each album consists of the deep, introspective lyrics that Mongé is known for.
