As usual, Tyler uses an original beat on this track (except for Radical, did you really expect anything different?). “Tron Cat” seems to be another of Tyler’s inner voices (he discusses the kitten with his psychiatrist in “Nightmare”) The title is probably derived from the highly influential “Chappelle’s Show” bit, portraying a black drug dealer called Tron Carter. The title could also be a reference to musician Thundercat’s cat named “Turbo Tron.” In a Pitchfork interview, Thundercat describes bringing the cat to the OF store opening and Tyler taking an interest in him.
