Biography
In 1976 the graphical designer Lasse Åberg was hired to produce a series of childrens tv-shows for SVT (Sveriges Television). Thre result was Trazan & Banarne. Together with Klasse Möllberg they built The Jungle Hut in a studio and they performed as the hosts Trazan (a relative of Tarzan played by Lasse) and his monkey friend Banarne (Klasse).
The show aired first 1974-76 and was seen by 100% of the swedish kids according to a survey at the time.
When SVT wanted to rerun the show i turned out the tapes had been accidently erased (having been labeled wrong). Lasse Åberg and Klasse Möllberg decided to record a new series wich was broadcast in 1980. For this series the band Electric Banana Band was formed, lead by Trazan, Banarne and Zebran (played by internationally recognized session guitarist Janne Schaffer).
The success of the show and the band was immense and the band and the show soundtracks sold gold in record time with a chain of hits. The show has not been continued, but the band remains active today.
