Frequent collaborators Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimek & Reinhold Heil partnered again to produce the soundtrack to the 2012 film Cloud Atlas, performed by the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra from Leipzig under the direction of Kristjan Järvi. Not merely an atmospheric background to the film itself, the music play an integral role in binding together several facets of the storyline, notably one of the arcs set in the 1930s revolving around music.
