Tom Hingley (born 9 July 1965) is a musician from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the band
Inspiral Carpets. He moved to Oldham in 1984, formed a band called
Too Much Texas, and got a job collecting glasses at the legendary night club The Hacienda in Manchester. He joined the Inspiral Carpets as lead vocalist in 1989 and they split in 1995. They continue to sporadically tour to play Greatest Hits sets. He released
