The single was released on September 13, 2018 and is the follow up to the bands first single "Solara", in its partially reformed incarnation. The song was produced by record producer Rick Rubin, who the band had previously worked with band in the mid-'90s. It was recorded at the Shangri Las recording studio, Malibu, California in early 2018. In an recent radio interview Corgan described the sound of the new tracks as reminiscent of the 1994's rarities collection Pisces Iscariot, adding that the new album won't have a concept like previous Smashing Pumpkins releases.
