Sting's original demo of this 1980 was swinging and jazz-influenced. When The Police sat down to record the track for Zenyatta Mondatta, the band felt they needed to "Police-ify" it. Sting recorded the song in an arrangement closer to his original demo for his 1985 solo debut, The Dream of the Blue Turtles.
