This collection represents a surprising departure from standard Christmas fare. The Kingston Trio searched the world for old madrigals and folk songs and arranged them for modern listening pleasure, incorporating their particular style to the music. The melodies, lyrics, and harmonies will inspire the listener throughout the Christmas season and continue to delight long into the new year. The Kingston Trio has used authentic ethnic instruments for accompaniment on some of the tracks. This album is an excellent addition to any music lover's library – a treasure.
