Revolution is a song by The Beatles written by John Lennon and attributed to Lennon/McCartney. It was a number 1 hit in Australia. The song appeared in two distinctly different incarnations, a raucous electric Revolution, released as a single, and a slowed Revolution 1, which appeared on The Beatles, also known as the White Album. A third connected piece written by Lennon, the heavily experimental "Revolution 9", appeared on the same White Album side as "Revolution 1", on the second side of the second disc.
