This song is about a secret relationship Stewart witnessed between a young lesbian (his neighbor at the time) and a married older woman, with most of the lyrics being things that the couple had said to eachother. It was later reworked into “Sad Pony Guerilla Girl” for Xiu Xiu’s “A Promise”, albeit with a different arrangement as well as some minor lyric changes.
