Teddy Edelmann Rasmussen (born September 9, 1941 in Copenhagen) is a Danish singer who is best known for the song "Sky Dog", which was his big breakthrough in 1984. He began his musical career in 1950 under the name Rock Teddy and later in the band The Ready Rock Boys. In 1962 he won a competition in Radio Mercur and was named North Cliff Richard. Teddy Edelmann (9 September 1941 - 1 January 2018) was a Danish country and schlager singer songwriter and guitarist. In the early 1970's Edelmann was the leader of the country band Teddy, Chano, Jan & John. From then on he performed in a variety of constellations, a.o. as Teddy & Chano Rodeo and Teddy Rodeo with earlier bandmates. In later years he turned more and more towards a schlager repertoire.
