"Sweet Child o' Mine" is a song by American rock band Guns N' Roses; it appears on their 1988 debut album, Appetite for Destruction. The song has subsequently been covered by a number of different artists. The 2009 cover by Taken by Trees (Swedish musician Victoria Bergsman) was used in a Christmas TV advert for the John Lewis department store. As a result, it was released as a UK single. The version was also used in the promotional trailers for the 2009 remake of "The Last House on the Left" and in the final scene for the 2010 film "Life as We Know It".
