"Is the title of this track a reference to Pig Destroyer's "Towering Flesh"? " If you buy the vinyl version you there is an introduction text by Kim Thayil from Soundgarden mentioning that the title of this song, can't remember if it was "her lips were wet with venom" or " Satan Oscilate my Metallic Sonata" .. but i think he says it was some working title or something for a soundgarden project or album. This song is really awesome, really digging the composition technique.

Well the album is a collaboration between Sunn and Boris, so I think that's why they didn't include this as a normal song because of Dylan Carlson. If I remember right they said the bands blended and became something different from Boris and Sunn. Dylan was just there at the time so they recorded a song with him out of fun. That's how I see it. The song is fucking great nevertheless.

True, but just because someone doesn't like them doesn't mean they're out of place. :)

@greg_valou: lol. Research pretty much any album by Earth, "Phase 3: Thrones and Dominions" or later. Listen to their earlier works as well. Then you will understand the country licks.
