Roxx Regime was the former band and name of todays Stryper founded in Orange County, CA in 1983. First known as Roxx from 1980 - 1981. Roxx Regime consisted of Scott Lane, John Voorhees, Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet. The band changed their name to Stryper when bassist Tim Gaines joined the band, replacing Voorhees. Poison's C.C. DeVille was briefly in the band replacing Lane before leaving and being replaced by Ox Fox. In 1983, a demo was released called the 'The Yellow and Black Attack!'.
