Rafi (Rafael) Perski was born in 1960 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and immigrated to Israel in 1969. His mother worked as a seamstress, moving to Israel with the whole family. During the 1980s he worked as an assistant recording technician at Triton Studios and recorded albums of singers like Arik Einstein, Alberstein, Nurit Galron, Gidi Gov, Yehuda Poliker and Ofra Haza.
