Brown Album (also known as The Brown Album) is an album by alternative rock band Primus. It was released on July 8, 1997. It was the first Primus release to not feature drummer Tim Alexander and the first to feature Bryan "Brain" Mantia on drums. "Shake Hands with Beef" and "Over the Falls" were the only two singles from this album. Both were given music videos, released respectively.

Primus is a San Francisco-based band formed in the mid-1980s by two ex-members of thrash metal band Blind Illusion: Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde. Les (vocals and bass guitar) has been the only constant member.
