"Another Version Of The Truth" is the fourteenth track on the 2007 release Year Zero. Entirely instrumental, it is in two distinct sections. The first half fades in from underneath the decaying delay effect at the end of "The Great Destroyer," gradually building up more layers of noise loops. Underneath, a piano piece is played. Eventually, the noise loops give way to the relative clarity and sparseness of the second section, in which a different piano piece, slower and more contemplative, is overcome by a deeper synthesizer loop, which stops suddenly.
