One of the most devastating songs I’ve ever heard. I feel like this too, I’ve pretty much given up on life and at this point I’m just waiting for whatever it is that comes after

The way the drug loop comes in after he says “I’m just waiting for my time to come” is actually terrifying.

The Kisa section is devastating, the emotion in Cave's voice is almost too much

Somehow, this song managed to break me emotionally. Not to discredit the band, I'm just suprised that I still feel something. Thank you Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for reminding me, that I'm not quite as hollow inside as I normally think. Even though I still doubt that I can feel anything.

The end track is about the end of the world. It really feels like one of the best songs of an excellent song-writer

Of course that this song, as the whole album, as every work of art, has multiple meanings, so don't try to minimize it. If you hear lines like "The fires continued through the night" and then "I'm gonna buy me a house up in the hills / With a tear-shaped pool and a gun that kills" or "And I'm standing on the shore / Everyone begins to run" maybe you can add this apocalyptic layer to your univocal vision. Anyway, jekku666, thank you to recall that fact that absolutely everyone knew.

One of the best of his career. Which is saying a lot. This really feels like the culmination... of everything.

A fitting, fitting end to this astonishing trilogy. His Magnum Opus for sure.
