I highly recommend this. The first time I heard this record was around the time I've been a paramedic, I was embraced by very intense moments and I was often lying in bed, late at night, feeling everything what was left from the day. This record branded those moments. Make something special out of Palmless Prayers/Mass Murder Refrain. The guitar that starts in the middle of untitled 3 & 5 are points where you will shake, wondering if you're dreaming. It's ecstatic and climactic.

I forgot how soul-crushing this album is. I'm glad I remembered. Like years of dust on a tomb.

How do people study to this? It's impossible, Palmless Prayer/Mass Murder Refrain requires your full undivided attention, there's no other way to listen to it!

In spite of the fact that Parts 3 and 5 have the wonderful build ups and crescendos, I think Part 4 is my favorite off of the album. Just simply beautiful. I absolutely adore the vocals.

I feel like Part 1 and 2 are WEG's part, Part 3 and 4 are MONO's parts and Part 5 is the soundscapes merged?

"I was planning at some point to note where exactly it is that “Part Five,” the final track of Palmless Prayer / Mass Murder Refrain, metamorphoses from merely a satisfying conclusion into the single most magnificent piece of music I'd heard all year. I knew there was a moment where I felt this; where the drums come in, or the guitars reach a crescendo, or when the two plangent string refrains finally begin to weep in unison. But while re-listening to the piece, two things happened: First I lost count of the moments that made my heart break, and then I lost the ability to count. (...) It’s the type of music that demands your full attention to have any kind of effect. And when you give it, you'll find it hurts; be prepared to recall every time you had to watch someone walk away, every dying pet from childhood, every thing you wish you hadn't just said." - Stylus Magazine

These tracks are timeless. They posses no name, the unnecessary weight, and remain unspoiled in their beauty.

Listen to this album alone in the dark with headphones on if you hate yourself and want to die.

This is one of the best collaborations I know, and I usually don't even like World's End Girlfriend.
