Marsha Stevens-Pino (born Marsha Carter) is a singer, musician, songwriter and recording artist of Christian songs. She was born on August 20, 1952 in Pomona, California. Shortly after professing to become a Christian in 1969 at sixteen years of age, Stevens-Pino wrote "For Those Tears I Died (Come to the Water)". The song became widely known, therefore many experts consider her to be the founder of the genre of Contemporary Christian Music. Stevens-Pino is openly lesbian and currently leads BALM (Born Again Lesbian Ministries) together with her wife Cindy Stevens-Pino.
