Confessions on a Dance Floor is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 15, 2005 by Warner Bros. Records. The album sold over 3 million copies in its first week of release in Europe and sold over 8 million copies worldwide. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2007.
Confessions on a Dance Floor has become one of Madonna’s best selling albums, with international hits such as “Hung Up” and “Sorry”. The album led to the most successful concert tour of her career, the Confessions Tour. It was co-produced by Stuart Price and contains collaborations with Mirwais Ahmadzaï, Bloodshy & Avant and Bagge & Peer.

yea-yea-yea - I'm a little late to the discussion! But, I had my own little listening party last night and realized, once again, how brilliant this album is!! IMHO, this has got to be in the top 3 pop albums of all time. Its fucking pop genius! The flow from one track to the next is magical and the sound engineering is over-the-top fucking tight! If you pretend its not Madonna and just listen to it for what it is, you'll hear an insanely progressive, new-wave retro sound! Its like the best of modern electro, mixed with a healthy splash of early 90's Depeche Mode, accompanying the one thing Madonna has always had on her side - her unique, deep vocals. Perhaps I do it a disservice by trying to categorize it -- its unique --- and that is what makes it stand apart from Madonna's other releases and from pop music in general. Its fucking marvelous! Of course, after Hard Candy, I have to go back to apologizing for liking Madonna ;)
