On November 11th, 2011, MGMT performed a 45 minute set of original music, composed specially for the Maurizio Cattelan retrospective show at the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum in Manhattan. 11 years after the original performance the band released the performance as a live album after being mixed by Dave Fridmann and MGMT themselves.

MGMT are a psychedelic pop/rock band which formed in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. The band's founding members, Andrew VanWyngarden (lead vocalist, primary songwriter, multi-instrumentalist) and Ben Goldwasser (backing vocalist, multi-instrumentalist), met while attending Wesleyan University, and have remained as the core of the group to this day.
