“Mos Definitely” is a nod to one of Logic’s inspirations, Mos Def, who has had a major influence on not only Logic, but also hip-hop in general. In an interview with NPR in 2015, Logic was asked who some of his major influences were. He replied with two words: "Mos Def." The outro chant from this song recalls Mos' “Black people” chant at the end of his 1999 single “Umi Says.” Logic also wants people to know that being black or any other race is beautiful. Logic initially teased this song on his Instagram story months prior to the release of Everybody.
