classic album. always wondered however how it wouldve spanned out if all those tracks werent leaked. this is an insane album as is, but if it had tracks like pray to the lord, something you forgot, la la la, i think it would be my all time favourite album. will always remain a what if

Lil Wayne's whole entire page is messed up because his name had an Apostrophe before and now it's gone and it messed everything up, wish they would stop being lazy and fix it. And the "Auto-correct the spelling of your scrobbles" setting doesn't do shit for fixing the page's stream numbers...

Happy 15th birthday to one of the greatest and most influential albums of the 2000s! Can’t believe its been 15 years since it came out. Still remember being on the school bus to middle school with kids blasting “Mr Carter”, “A Milli” and “3 Peat” all in a row. I was in my pretentious backpacker phase but in the back of my mind there was a voice that said “This shit goes hard”. Glad i followed that voice and let Wayne open up a whole new world of rap for me,

“A musical publishing company that owns the rights to the Rolling Stones' song “Play With Fire”, original intended to be the 14th track on Tha Carter III, sued U. S. rapper Lil Wayne on Thursday, saying he released an altered version of the song without permission… Abkco music Inc. said that Lil Wayne’s version uses “explicit, sexist and offensive language” and could lead the public to believe the company and the Rolling Stones approved of and authorized the new version.” Ah yes, The Rolling Stones, the band best known for wholesome, family friendly songs such as ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, “Under my Thumb”, and ‘Brown Sugar’, a song about raping African American slaves.

Like did they listen to any Rolling Stones songs? Half of them are sexist and offensive. Just shows how hypocritical and greedy record companies are, restrictions on sampling need to be removed fr. Funny how people call rap music sexist when rock musicians have been using those same tropes for decades, but somehow it’s only bad when black people do it.

Wayne doesn’t write down his raps, he freestyles everything live in the studio off the top of his head, and he still manages to make classics like this. That’s mad talent right there.

This is one of the best southern hip-hop albums of the '00s. I've got no qualms in saying it.

Thriller of hip hop; every mainstream rap album since has tried to emulate the essence of tc3. Ultimate rap album really.

I don't see how anyone can call this a bad album, sure, you can listen to Got Money, Lollipop, Mrs. Carter, you know the commercial hits and dismiss it right away but come on, Shoot Me Down, Let The Beat Build, Tie My Hands, Mr. Carter, all insanely dope tracks. How can you say this sucks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcK8mS4JCug
