The Silver Cord is King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's 25th album, released on October 27th, 2023. The project sees the band returning to the use of synthesizers, predominantly shown in their albums Butterfly 3000 and Made In Timeland. It is also thematically connected to their 24th album, PetroDragonic Apocalypse, with the tracklist of each album directly mirroring the other. The album comes in both a 28-minute "standard" edition, and an 89-minute "extended mix."
