“Show Out” is a track from Kid Cudi's Man On The Moon III: The Chosen. It's a song of triumph and vigor, which combines related genres of drill and hip-hop. Cudi flows in a never-before seen trio alongside the posthumous Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke and London rapper Skepta. Produced by Cudi’s OG team of Dot Da Genius and Plain Pat (as well as Heavy Mellow and Gravez), Cudi returns to his roots both vocally and instrumentally.

Although Cudi is not known for a history of gang violence or drug dealing, he relates to the sentiments of Skepta and the late Pop Smoke through their dedication to their team and their cause. The chorus depicts war-like behavior, pinning the rappers' teams against any enemies.
The verses continue this fighting theme through several mentions to the rappers' deep teams who stand by their respective leaders.

““Show Out” was powerful because I talked to Steven Victor about this and he said that when first recorded the song that he had thought of me on it—Steven had thought of me on it. The reason why I managed to get this record is because Dot Da Genius and Plain Pat had worked with Pop before he blew up at Dot’s studio, and they had this record. They just never did anything with it, it was just something that Dot had. And I was chilling with him one day because Dot’s working on the album and he goes ‘Yo, I got this record for you, I'ma play it for you, let me know what you think’. He plays this shit and I’m like ‘I need this’. I was like ‘nobody’s ever heard me on anything like this.’ Skepta sounds amazing. Pop Smoke sounds amazing. Like this would be so unexpected. I think I could be on this and hold it down and do my thing. And this is also another way I can showcase these bars.“
