Keld & The Donkeys were a Danish pop group from Denmark, who led by Keld Heick existed in the period 1962-1980 The group was formed as barbed wire group (Pigtraad) in 1962 called The Donkeys and consisted initially of Keld Heick (singer and guitarist), Norbert Persson (electric bass), Flemming Jensen (drums) and Bent Scharnberg (lead guitar). The latter two were replaced in 1964 by Henry Nielsen (drums) and Paul Malmquist (lead guitar). The group played at the beginning of music that was inspired by Cliff Richard and The Shadows.
