"Dr. Mowinckel" was written by Geir Zahl and appears on Kaizers Orchestra's first studio album, Ompa til du dør. The song was composed early in the band's career and was recorded as part of the demo for Ompa til du dør. The vocals are performed by Zahl; one of the few songs on which he has lead vocal. The song is one of the premiere examples of the band's trademark usage of oil barrels as percussion, as well as their usage of ethnic instruments.
