"You Got The Magic" was released in April 1976 as the first single from Fogertys upcoming album "Hoodoo". However, after the single failed to break most charts and barely sold at all, he chose to scrap the album. The master tapes were destroyed by Fogerty in the 80s, leaving "You Got The Magic", along with it's B-side "Evil Thing", as the only released material from the scrapped album.
