Legend has it that Jigga turned down Dilla’s beats. Another story claims it was Jay Dee who simply refused to work with the kid. Now that Dilla is gone, we’ll never know the truth. Either way, someone who’s obviously never heard the saying, “If it ain’t broke…” has gone and tampered with a masterpiece for the sake of simulating this would-be dream collaboration.
