Herrek is a Dutch band, founded in 2008 by Rotterdam-based musician Gerrit van der Scheer. Van der Veer used to be the guitarist in Adept (and continues to be the frontman of Bonne Aparte) but opts for a more personal approach with Herrek. Van der Scheer, who grew up in Papua, Indonesia, named the band after the way the Papuans pronounced his first name, Gerrit.
