Gervase Alan de Peyer (11 April 1926 – 4 February 2017) was an English clarinetist and conductor. Gervase de Peyer was born in London and attended Bedales School. He was awarded a scholarship to the Royal College of Music where he studied clarinet with Frederick Thurston and piano with Arthur Alexander. Towards the end of World War II, when he was aged 18, he joined the Royal Marines Band Service.
