His first film was S Pictures' Veyil (2006), winning critical acclaim and he became popular in Tamil cinema by the early 2010s G. V. Prakash, aged 17, was first signed up to compose the music for Taxi Driver, a film directed by debutant Morgan featuring Prashanth in early 2005.
