Farid Farjad (b. 1938) is an Iranian-born U.S. violinist. Farjad was born in Tehran. In addition to an education in Persian classical music, he studied Western music. Upon receiving his masters degree in classical music from the Tehran Music Conservatory in 1966, he became first violin in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and taught violin at the Conservatory. He left Iran in 1978 and became a U.S. citizen.
