Really digging how much more present the choir is throughout this album compared to their more recent work. And the harder edge and make vocals point me towards newer Epica *at times*.

This album definitely took some growing on me, at first I was very dissapointed, probably because Burning Bridges and Masters of Destiny blew me away and set my expectations waaaay too high, but I kept spinning it over and over and honestly, there's some pretty solid tracks on here. I was not a fan of One Second and still am not, I think it's one of Delain's worst songs, but when we're talking about good songs Vengance is definitely high up there, especially with Yannis' powerful vocals to help back up Charlotte, We Had Everything has some amazing vocals from Charlotte and a great bridge leading into the solo, Chemical Redemption is another solid one, Let's Dance is classic hooky Delain that is sure to be a staple of their live shows, and Legions of the Lost brings that heaviness that we all love. This album is certainly an evolution of Delain's sound and while I still prefer The Human Contradiction and April Rain, I think this is a welcome addition to Delain's catalogue.

My thoughts exactly! Definitely one of those albums that grows on you the more you listen.

I honestly quite like this album. I don't think it'll dethrone "The Human Contradiction" necessarily (that one's still my favorite), but it's a good, solid piece of symphonic metal. It's also noticeably more riffy than what they normally do, and I can definitely get behind that. I enjoy pretty much every song on this album and I can definitely see it being one of my favorites of 2020.

Jmmm honestly I was expecting a little more, sometimes the album is too melodic and turns flat, the typical sound of Delain explored in April Rain or WATO, Idk I suppose I have to listen to it more and see if it grows in me. I thougt the whole proyect would sound like Chemical Redemption, my personal favorte, anyways there's some symphonic brillance in Burning Bridges and Masters of Destiny... I like Combustion too, the last intrumental song, but I feel is pure show off technical skills, Nothing compared to the heartbreaking atmospheric "The Monarch" or the enyoing "This Silence is Mine".
