Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons is a project by DJ and producer Damian Lazarus.
The 2015 LP, Message From The Other Side, was produced between LA, London and Mexico, with help from James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. The project, which is Lazarus' first full-length since 2009's Smoke The Monster Out, also features a raft of international guests, including Egyptian percussionist Hossam Ramzy, US jazz pianist ELEW (AKA Eric Lewis), Mozambican guitarist Neco Novellas, "qawwali" singers Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad, Hamza Akram and LA singer Moses Sumney on the single Vermillion and Tangled Web.
