RIP to a legend. Saw CSN in concert about 10 years ago and, even into their seventies, they still put on a hell of a show. Crosby’s voice somehow never aged a day the whole time he was alive. The documentary Cameron Crowe did on him, David Crosby: Remember My Name, is fantastic; it gives a detailed, warts-and-all picture of one of the modern exemplars of “the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom”. I found Crosby’s candour and self-awareness genuinely admirable; many of us could learn a lot from his willingness to admit his mistakes and faults. It was quite bittersweet to watch knowing that CSN(Y) will never work together again, but it’s a fitting capstone to Crosby’s legacy. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend doing so at the earliest opportunity.

LOVE YA CROSBY STILLS AND NASH, super sad to hear the news. I’m glad I got into their timeless, sweet music before Crosby passed.

CSN&Y music probably best chronicles the sixties, and hippiedom. 'Deja Vu' is probably their magnum opus, everything about it jelled. Electrified-folk with stunning harmonies, and earthy lyrics. They spoke for a whole generation, that was on-the-move to somewhere else. They helped-me hold-on, after the military. Some of my favorite cuts by the band: 'Teach Your Children', 'Everybody I Love You', 'Almost Cut My Hair', and the spectacular 'Country Girl' with Neil Young singing the winsome lead. "No time to stay the same . . . too young to leave." Peace.

I know this band for years and years and I never properly listened to them in the past. I finally got around to listening to them in 2021. I know, it's quite late for me to get into their music. I started off with their self-titled album. Incredible album.

RIP Dallas Taylor, drummer on Porch and Deja Vu albums. The man in the window on the back of the debut album.

Get the greatest hits as well to have Southern Cross. or the 4 cd boxset which covers most of their solo stuff (their solo stuff has the other guys on backing vocals..)
