"You Were on My Mind" is a song written by American musician Sylvia Fricker in 1962 and first performed by Fricker and her future husband Ian Tyson as the duo Ian & Sylvia, who recorded it in 1963 for their 1964 album "Early Morning Rain". The song has been covered by many other artists.
