This is considered a Beefheart staple for a reason. Absolutely classic early song that hinted on what was to come and what Beefheart's true music nature was. You can't not bob your head to this, it's blazing.

The mono mix of this song has so much more oomph. I feel like I'm hearing it for the first time again!

One of the best bands of the time for experimental music. Loved the Captain. My dad, a classical and church musician, who did like jazz, didn't care for this, but I did.

This Zappa channel just gets better and better. Great job, lastfm ! Makes the obnoxious phone commercial almost bearable. :‒)

this is as much of a burst of originality for 1967 as 'heroin' by the VU, and a year earlier 'i hate you' by the monks. impossible to imagine the music of today without this. unlike most of the music today though, those three great tracks all have a playfulness and sense of humour that is sorely missing.
